As a proud member of the community of San Antón de las Minas, where our project is located and home to 75% of our workers, the Company strives to promote education, respect and preservation of the culture, customs and traditions of the local community with a special focus on self-sustainability and co-responsibility.

San Anton Resource Corporation is an active supporter of the local community and places a very high priority on maintaining an excellent relationship. Beyond our commitment to the highest standards of practice, San Anton is also involved in a number of social and economic activities including school support, road access, and recreation and sport. These activities are developed jointly with the local community and aimed at improving their quality of life. We regularly invite the local community to participate in different cultural events, school activities, sports and festivities. The Company has organized First Aid, Safety and Environmental courses for all of our workers and invites any members of the community that wish to participate. In order to strengthen our ties with the community, we hold regular meetings to keep them informed of the progress and direction of the project.

San Anton has been involved in a number of activities to support community schools including: a) New pads for the construction of new rooms for the primary and middle schools; b) Re-habilitation of the access road to the middle school; c) Purchase of computers; d) Provision of basketball uniforms to students of the community’s middle school; e) Donation of school materials to the primary and middle schools.

Through coordination with the local, regional and federal government authorities, San Anton contributes to the maintenance of the principal roads at its own cost and expense. San Anton also builds roads to access drilling sites in a manner that maximizes the benefits to the local Community.

San Anton believes that recreation and sport are ways to encourage a healthy life style within the local community. To this effect, the Company built a soccer field for the community and supports the local soccer team which participates in the regional league. San Anton has donated uniforms and cleats to all the members of the team, the majority of which work for the Company. The soccer program helps integrate our staff members into the local communities.

It is the Company’s policy to preserve and safeguard the environment through a number of programs to minimize and control environmental effects including:

• Optimizing the use of water and controlling water run off;
• Planning new drill areas to minimize environmental disturbance;
• Initiating the first waste container program for the community;
• Rehabilitating sites in accordance with regulatory criteria and best industry practices;
• Minimizing the generation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and ensuring proper disposal of all wastes;
• Complying with all applicable environmental laws and regulations;
• Identifiying and managing environmental risks to ensure compliance with our commitments in the area of sustainability.
