Corporate :: Corporate History

San Anton Resource Corporation has a history spanning more than a generation. The Company was originally incorporated under the Company Act (British Columbia) on January 22, 1980 under the name Anderado Resources Inc., and commenced trading on the Vancouver Stock Exchange (VSE), the predecessor to the TSX Venture Exchange, on October 21, 1980.  By special resolution dated December 18, 1980, the name Anderado Resources Inc. was changed to Andaurex Resources Inc.  By special resolution dated December 1, 1992, the name Andaurex Resources Inc. was changed to Andaurex Capital Resources Inc.  By special resolution dated August 30, 1995, the name Andaurex Capital Resources Inc. was changed to Andaurex Industries Inc.

There was no consolidation of share capital through any of these changes.

On December 4, 2006, Andaurex Industries Inc. was continued under the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA).  On December 6, 2006, Andaurex Industries Inc., prior to that date trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol AWX, amalgamated under the CBCA with Kings Minerals Canada Inc., a privately held corporation, and the amalgamated entity continued forward as San Anton Resource Corporation, listed on the TSX under the symbol SNN.  Trading in the shares of San Anton Resource Corporation commenced on the TSX December 12, 2006.

At the time of incorporation in 1980, the Company was in the business of carrying out mineral exploration in British Columbia, Canada.  These activities declined over time resulting in the company emerging largely as a shell by the early 1990s, although it continued to hold interests in three mineral properties. Between 1992 and 1993, the Company entered the investment holding business and in 1995 became a provider of engineering, design and project management services, a business it exited in favour of a renewed emphasis on the mineral exploration industry in 2002.  It has since remained in this industry.
