As a proud member of the community of San Antón de las Minas (where our project is located and home to 75% of our workers), the Company strives in promoting education, respect and preservation of the culture, customs and traditions of the local community with a special focus on self-sustainability and co-responsibility.

San Anton Resource Corporation is an active supporter of community – active integration, teamwork and involvement has always been a high priority in order to maintain an excellent relationship with the locals. Beyond our commitment to the highest standards of practice, San Anton is also involved in a number of social and economic activities – school support, road access, and recreation and sport – developed jointly with the local community aimed at improving their quality of life. We regularly invite the local community to participate in different cultural events, school activities, sports and festivities. The Company has organized First Aid, Safety and Environmental courses for all of our workers and any other members of the community that want to participate. In order to strengthen our ties with the community, we hold regular meetings to keep them informed on the progress and direction of the project.

Education is a priority for San Anton Resource Corporation, reason why the Company has been involved in the past in a number of activities to support community schools including: a) New pads for the construction of new rooms for the primary and middle schools; b) Re-habilitation of the access road to the middle school; c) Purchase of computers; d) Provision of basketball uniforms to students of the community’s middle school; e) Donation of school materials to the primary and middle schools.

Through coordination with the local and regional federal government authorities, San Anton Resource Corporation contributes to the maintenance of the principal roads to keep all accesses in good conditions.

San Anton Resource Corporation believes that recreation and sport is a way to encourage a healthy life style within the community. To this effect, the Company supports the local soccer team – formed in its majority by workers of the Company – who participates in the regional league. The Company has donated uniforms and cleats to all the members of the team. The soccer matches promote good will in the community and help integrate our staff members with the local communities.

It is the Company’s policy to contribute to the preservation of the environment through diverse means of support and environmental effects control activities, while identifying and managing environmental risks to ensure compliance with our commitments in the area of sustainability.
