Ottawa, ON - San Anton Resource Corporation (SNN:TSX) is pleased to announce the appointments of Rob Stewart as Vice President, Development, Paul Chatigny CA as new Chief Financial Officer, and Christian Del Valle, as Manager, Corporate Development.

“We are very pleased with the depth and experience that the appointments of Rob, Paul and Christian add to San Anton’s management team,” said Gregory Bowes, President & CEO. “Rob completed the 43-101 on the San Anton property and his decision to become part of the team that will take it through development is a strong endorsement of the project’s potential. Our objective is to continue to add value by advancing Cerro del Gallo towards production, expanding the size of Cerro del Gallo and drilling regional targets. We look forward to the contribution of these gentlemen in achieving San Anton’s goal of becoming a producing company.”

Mr. Stewart is a geologist with over 18 years of worldwide experience in the mining industry, primarily in the areas of project development, resource evaluation, and mining geology. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Geology, from Australia's Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He was a consulting geologist with Golder Associates for the last 6 years and previously held various operational and development roles with a number of companies including Newcrest Mining. Mr. Stewart will play a key role in all aspects of advancing the San Anton property through the feasibility study and development stages.

Paul Chatigny CA replaces Miles Nagamatsu as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chatigny has over 15 years of financial experience, most recently as Director of Finance for two Ottawa based high tech companies. He previously served in progressively senior positions at Newbridge Networks including Controller, Access Products Group. Mr. Chatigny holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University as well as Chartered Accountant and CPA designations.

Mr. Del Valle has over five years of experience in market research, communications and international business development and was previously with a public, Ottawa based high tech company. He is fluent in Spanish and holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from ITAM University in Mexico City. In addition to corporate strategy, communications, and investor relations responsibilities, Mr. Del Valle will also serve as a liaison between head office and the exploration office in Guanajuato, Mexico.

San Anton Resource Corporation is a new exploration and development company that commenced trading Dec. 12, 2006 on the TSX. The Company’s principal asset is a 51% interest in the 237 km2 San Anton Property in Mexico (Goldcorp 49%). The Property has only recently been subjected to modern exploration techniques which has already lead to the identification of more than 20 exploration targets including the Cerro del Gallo gold-silver-copper deposit where a gold equivalent resource exceeding 10 million ounces has been defined to date. The deposit remain open laterally and at depth and a US$9.7M exploration program is currently underway.
